Motorola Milestone

Motorola Milestone is going to hit the market on 7th December. In first look it’s very hard to believe that Milestone is the product of same company from which Razr comes out. Since Razr was the last hit of Motorola, the company is really counting on Milestone to make a comeback in mobile market.

The first noticeable thing about Motorola Milestone is- it is the First phone coming with Google Android 2.0 operating system.

Motorola Milestone aka Motorola Droid (In US) comes with an eye catching 5 mega pixel camera and a 3.7 inch capacitive touch screen with gesture recognition. It also supports multi-touch, the first Android device to do so, putting it on equal footing with the iPhone and Palm Pre. Handset is slider in form with a full QWERTY keyboard. Video recording is leveled with DVD quality.

Motorola Milestone claims to have talk time of upto 390 mins (6.5 hrs) and 350 hrs in stand by mode in GSM. In 3g its battery goes upto 290 mins (5.5 hrs) talk time and upto 380 hrs in stand by mode. It has got 8 GB micro SD card included and can go upto whopping 32 GB memory.

As per the makers of this Android beauty “photos are sharper. Videos pop. It’s the phone without compromise”.

However having Google Nav application in US version there is a rumor that Milestone will be launched with Motorola’s own MotoNav application in UK. Now it will be interesting to see how MotoNav is going to feed the hunger of UK consumers who likes Google Navigation system.

Support for camera flash, revamped UI and beefed up browser supporting the newest HTML5 code for richer web experience are other new features added in the handset.

The Motorola Milestone has a “Purchase me tag” of £449.99 (incl.VAT), unlocked at expansys UK. There is still no news about what carrier is going to pick this newly born baby of Motorola and in fact, “expansys” is claiming that the smart phone is exclusive in the UK to the retailer and stock is expected in the week commencing December 7.
